Position Summary

This position is responsible for the strategic development, implementation and maintenance of the Energy Supply Quality Management program. The Quality Management program serves to guide the Operations, Production Resources, Engineering & Construction and Supply Chain functions of Energy Supply. The program directly influences the results of the construction, operation, and maintenance activities in the entire fleet.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Energy Supply Quality Management program. Program to be applicable to Engineering & Construction, Operations, Production Resources, Supply Chain, and other departments as may be appropriate. Support and assist in the development of policies, processes, and procedures as necessary and appropriate to implement the program.
  • Provide leadership and direction for implementation of the ES Quality Management program. Implementation to include departmental processes and procedures, supplier and contractor requirements and interfaces, development and distribution of program materials, training of fleet personnel in quality principles, and training of fleet personnel in the implementation of procedures and processes, including the use of forms and reporting requirements. Program will also be applicable to O&M projects, Base Capital projects and Major Capital projects.
  • Retain subordinate Quality Specialists as necessary to implement the program. Supervise and direct the work of the Quality Specialists. Administer the performance management (IPAD) process for direct reports.
  • Act as the primary Business Unit resource for Quality criteria to be included in contracts and specifications. Review, or provide for the review of, procurement documents (commercial and/or technical) for goods and services as necessary to assure inclusion of appropriate Quality requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the area of Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering or related technical field may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree. 10 years of power plant experience (design, construction, operations, or maintenance). 5 years experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control/Quality Management. Power plant quality experience is preferred; quality experience in a heavy industrial setting is acceptable.
