Position Summary

Work in System Protection Engineering department. Work consists of helping gather information for analysis of power system faults and operations, modeling power system equipment in our short circuit database and doing capital projects.

Eligible candidates must live within the Amarillo, TX area to be considered. Candidates must be able to commute to the worksite within a reasonable amount of time. Xcel Energy does not offer relocation for this role.

Minimum Requirements

Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program or be enrolled in a technical mathematics or science program Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ability to communicate effectively; both written and verbally Must be self- motivated and have the ability to work well with others Must be interested in a hands-on work approach.
