Position Summary
Work directly with Colorado's Power Pathway Project Management team. Majority of job requirements will include office duties with a small portion of field visits. Work with the Project Management staff to support transmission capital projects. Work as an entry level project manager doing tasks spanning all aspects of transmission project management in reference to scope, schedule, and cost of capital projects. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills. This position will work throughout the spring of 2024 with high potential to become a year-round internship.

Eligible candidates must live within the Denver area to be considered. Candidates must be able to commute to the worksite within a reasonable amount of time. Xcel Energy does not offer relocation for this role.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be pursuing an Undergraduate Degree from an accredited university or a technical degree with an emphasis in Project Management, construction management, Design, controls or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite,
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Preferred Requirements

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
• Excellent data entry, proofreading, organizational and communication skills
• Candidates able to work full-time in the summer.
• Within commuting distance of Denver
• Candidates with a valid driver’s license highly preferred
