What your role is

Our EUAU Snacks business is growing and needs an R&D assistant to support the growth of the business by collaborating with the team during the development and commercialization of innovation and renovation projects.

In this role you will provide benchtop support to develop new products and packaging materials for the EUAU Snacks Bars business. These projects are key to delivering our growth ambitions for FY24 and beyond. This position is primarily focused on the hands-on development and execution. You will also support the team in the maintenance of GMPs, 5s, Food and People Safety standards, and general administrative task.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to develop bench product prototypes of new and improved products in the pilot plant
• Enable the commercialization of new products by supporting the execution of line trials and start-up of new products and new lines
• Collaborate with ingredient suppliers to improve ingredient quality, define ingredient specs and alignment on analytical methods for characterization
• Build ingredient and finished product specs and document them in the specifications systems.
• Support the team in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the pilot plant GMPs, 5S methodology and Food and People safety policies.
• Conduct administrative tasks to enable smooth team operation: Documentation support: invoices, PO management, shipments, custom's procedures
• Strong partner and high degree of collaboration with the R&D Snacks EUAU team

What you will bring to the team

• ‘Formación Profesional de Grado Superior en Industria Alimentaria’ or similar
• 1+ year experience in food industry
• High bias for action and ability to execute tasks with speed and accuracy
• Strong team collaboration skills, flexibility and agility
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast changing priorities

Additional Skills/Experience

• 1+ years of experience in quality labs and R&D pilot plant/lab support
• Fluent in English
• Driving license

• Product formulation and industrialization of high quality products
