OVERVIEW
Customer Marketing team members play a direct role in driving incremental volume at our priority retailers through design and execution of customer-centric, local-level omni-channel marketing programs in partnership with our Brands, Sales Teams, and Retailers. We are seeking a Customer Marketing Planner to lead customer marketing strategy for North American Retail East/West, with primary responsibility for HyVee and Wakefern/Shoprite. You will be responsible for developing a breadth of new ideas for both cross-category events and brand focused initiatives. You will have the opportunity to present those ideas directly to the Retailer at executive levels, developing key selling and presentation skills. You will lead planning and execution tied to one of our longest running customer specific platforms, Partners in Caring, and will help develop omnichannel marketing strategy leveraging the Shoprite from Home platform and HyVee RedMedia. This is a position with considerable accountability and ownership. This position includes strategy, campaign/creative briefs, budget management, and project execution. It requires interaction with Customers, Internal Sales, all 3 OU teams, and Agencies. This role is remote eligible, but preferred location is Northeast (PA, NY, NJ), with an opportunity to work out of the Region Sales office in Philadelphia, or work from home.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead strategy and execution of General Mills retailer shopper marketing programs and tactics with internal and external groups
- Develop omnichannel shopper marketing plans and presentations
- Oversee creative briefs, timelines, budgets, etc. in support of shopper campaigns
- Lead and participate in key customer meetings
- Foster strong working relationships with sales and marketing team members at both General Mills and our customers
- Manage account level customer marketing budget
- Conduct data/event analyses
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or Business
- 1-2 years in Customer Marketing, Brand Experience, or Brand Marketing
- Demonstrated ability to translate insights into powerful marketing programs/platforms
- Understanding of how to use Digital/Social mediums as part of a marketing mix
- Proactive leadership in identifying new opportunities and in managing day to day operations
- History of collaboration with cross-functional teams, agency partners
- Project management expertise
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $62300.00 - $93600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role.
