Electrical Controls Technician - Third Shift 

 

What your compensation will look like:

  • Up to $37.20 per hour
  • $32.55 per hour to start
  • Shift differential- Night Shift $1:00 per hour when working between the hours of 11pm – 7am, or afternoon shift $0.50 per hour when working between 3pm-11pm
  • 15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays

What your day will look like:

  • Adhering to plant safety measures including LOTO and total energy isolation
  • Creating high quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE
  • Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility
  • Working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it.
  • Works with Controls Engineer and Systems Engineer to generate process improvements

  • Reading and updating electrical and control schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Providing technical support/skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls/equipment modifications
  • Performing uptime and downtime, preventative electrical maintenance
  • Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why, Breakdown Elimination)
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees

 

What your schedule will look like:

Currently hiring for 2nd shift positions

  • Schedule: 

8-hour shifts -

  • 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • Tech school diploma and 2 years of experience in related field or equivalent experience in a related field preferred (familiarity with Rockwell and Allen Bradley components)
  • Electrical/ Controls experience may include plant power distribution, plant equipment controls and plant electrical support
  • Licensed Journeyman preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

 

Physical & Technical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
  • Need to be able to work in a tobacco free environment
  • Good understanding of electrical safety (low & high voltage), including arc flash training
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, and occasionally update them
  • Must posses’ advance knowledge of PLC’s, SLC’s, Logix 5000, as well as accompanying hardware components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with drives, sensors, measuring devices, and motors
