Job Overview
Role: Sr. Business Intelligence Executive, Data Insights and Visualization
Location: Mumbai
The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute as a Sr. Business Intelligence Executive. This role will report into Assistant Manager, DIV in India and functionally collaborate with the various verticals of General Mills. The DIV team caters to various reporting and visualization initiatives to support and aid in decision making processes for various Operational Units and functions across different geographies within General Mills. The team works directly with SME’s, technical Consultants and Project Managers for developing and communicating business issues, project scope, key assumptions and considerations, data processing, data cleansing using data visualizations. It is an Individual contributor role. In this role, you will support various business partners by designing, developing and maintaining sustainable reporting and dashboarding solutions for key issues, projects, and programs.


Role Responsibilities
• Understand business requirement, plan, execute and build dashboards/reports that will aid the business needs on sustainable period. The deliverables include both regular and ad-hoc requests.
• Should be abreast with the latest visualization/reporting technologies. He/she should understand data architecture in the visualization/reporting domain.
• Support the business partners in defining the project scope, assumptions, building prototypes and testing the reports/dashboards.
• Gain requirements and develop the best approach for the report enhancement requests received from different stakeholders and functions.
• Extracting data and cleansing from different systems/ Data sources (SAP BW, Oracle, SQL Server, Data lake, GCP, GFP or Access)
• Data formatting/Structuring/mapping different data sets into Master views for dashboards / reports.
• Perform data validation and quality checks.
• Leveraging VBA/MS Access for automation/streamlining reports/dashboards.
• Exploring ideas to develop and implement standard processes, tools/solutions to ensure best practices are followed in the deliverables
• Collaborating with business partners to use best approach in data – gathering, cleansing & representation.
• Manage time across multiple reports / projects and ensure timely delivery while maintaining accuracy.
• Create & maintain documentation for reports / projects.

Must - have technical skills and experience
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of developing Pivot tables, writing complex formulas, conditional formatting, and other key features of the Excel tool.
• Basic understanding of Nielsen Connect / Nielsen Answers
• Basic knowledge of VBA automation.
• Good communication skills - verbal and written
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Good Logical thinking / Problem solving skills
• 3+ years of relevant experience in reporting / dashboarding domain
• Bachelor’s degree

Good to have skills
• Basic understanding in writing SQL queries.
• Basic Understanding on BI tools (Tableau /Power BI / Any other)
• Understanding of CPG industry
• Masters’ degree
