The SF Fed’s Supervision + Credit (S+C) Group is responsible for the supervision and regulation of state member banks, bank holding companies, savings and loan holding companies, financial holding companies, data service providers, trust companies, and foreign banking organizations that operate in the 12th District. Supervised institutions are in all states of our District, and range in size and complexity from small community organizations to some of the largest banking organizations in the country. Right now, our team is looking for Lead Business Analyst. The lead analyst will be a part of the Business Operations and Strategy team and will be responsible for capacity planning, resource and demand forecasting, and ongoing analysis of trends, challenges, and future needs. The lead analyst will need to demonstrate strong analytical and strategic planning skills in a dynamic business environment and will work in partnership with both the Resource Management Group (RMG) and Learning and Development (L&D) team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a capacity plan and forecasting model for Supervision + Credit resources, incorporating comprehensive demand forecasts and resource modeling inputs
  • Performs scenario-based planning and modeling to produce recommendations for future needs, assess impacts of strategic initiatives and change, and provide input to tactical scheduling and resourcing plans, including training plans, based on business data and knowledge of business processes/operations
  • Lead the collection, modeling, analysis, and interpretation of complex and/or broad data; identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to support resourcing recommendations or insights and drive implementation of solutions
  • Analyze complex and/or broad data sets to support decisions on future skills needs, resource planning and allocation, strategic changes, and business issues that have a broad or highly significant impact
  • Thinks strategically and has ability to look at business solutions from both top-down and bottoms-up approach and works to creatively solve problems.
  • Leads team projects/programs to address business issues; project manage ongoing initiatives including stakeholder collaboration, meeting management, document organization, and follow ups.
  • Produce reports and analyses to monitor resource availability and usage as well as the effectiveness of key learning and development programs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in strategic planning, capacity planning, resource planning, or workforce management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving skills with experience in collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting complex data to drive significant business decisions
  • Experience in statistical analysis and modeling forecasts to support demand planning or capacity models within a business planning cycle with familiarity of key staffing metrics such as utilization, productivity, and attrition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels of leadership
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking skill and ability to apply sound judgment when making decisions of moderate to moderately high complexity with the ability to determine next steps in situations where information in unavailable or ambiguous
  • Prior experience leading teams and projects with ability to drive initiatives from inception to execution
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel), visualization software (Tableau), and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, etc. to manipulate data and create reporting and visualizations from scratch

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Base Salary Range: Min: $121,100 Mid: $157,300 Max: $193,500 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

This enhanced screening will require the following items: academic and employment verifications, FBI fingerprint check (criminal and civil cases), credit check, family history, residential records and foreign travel for the previous 7 years, citizenship verification, reference checks, and personal interview with an investigator and can take between 21 – 60 days to clear.
