About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is looking for a highly motivated and versatile Financial Analyst II or Senior Financial Analyst. You will be responsible for administering Regulation D and payment system risk policies in accordance with system policies and guidelines. You will be based in the Dallas, Texas office and will report to the Director of Reserves Management.

You Will:

  • Support the Reserves Management function and the Credit, Risk, and Reserves Management Department.
  • Process operational tasks related to reserves administration, interest payments on reserve balances, overnight credit, and department information security reviews.
  • Assist with the review and evaluation of current operating procedures and recommend changes and/or improvements.
  • Design and develop management reports which satisfy information needs of business unit. Analyze and interpret data, prepare accurate and detailed reports of results, and/or provide management with a proposed course of action.
  • Effectively communicate with various stakeholders including technical issues with Information Technology Groups, various Central Business Administration Functions, and Audit. Execute and maintain business continuity and buddy bank plans.
  • Participate on System workgroups and assignments representing 11th District points of view in topics related to the Reserves function, access management, business continuity, COSO/SOX, and other ad hoc assignments.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of banking laws and regulations, and Board/System policies to respond effectively to inquiries and perform duties according to these mandates.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analysis, Economics, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of work experience in an analytical position.
  • Knowledge of financial terminology and accounting principles to interpret and analyze financial information sent to the bank by depository institutions.
  • General knowledge of banking laws and regulations, and Board/System policies to respond effectively to inquiries and perform duties according to these mandates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to make formal presentations to both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction to organize work and establish goals for work assignments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a variety of business units within the organization.
  • Proficiency using common productivity software products, including Excel pivot tables and formulas. Operating knowledge of team collaboration software tools, databases and database structures, SQL query writing, data analytics and data visualization tools, common statistical software tools.
  • Desired project management skills, to include organization, planning, and execution.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
