About the Role:

Under general supervision of a Portfolio or Program Manager (in some cases, a Functional Manager), leads and directs multiple projects or one larger project. Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. May communicate with a Senior Project Manager, Functional Area Manager, or Portfolio Manager regarding status of specific projects. Project management support can include the following areas: coordinates with business support team and technical support team to implement application updates; works closely with management on projects and roadmap.

You Will:

  • Define, document and carry out projects or sub-projects, with a small team, actively participating in all phases.
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.
  • Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of projects.
  • Prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and track activities against the project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Facilitate project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, etc. Take meeting minutes and action items during meetings and performs basic follow-up.
  • Use judgment based upon knowledge and experience to facilitate success of the project and set priorities for action item follow-up.
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team, and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

You Have:

  • PMP Preferred, but not required.
  • Project Management experience a must.
  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.
  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.
  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
  • Able to explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S and the role is not available for sponsorship.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. For this specific role, 2-3 days per week of work can be conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
