What we do:

The New York Fed is looking for a Head of Learning and Development to implement an overarching learning and development strategy that fosters a learning culture and enables our people to continuously grow and develop. You will partner with a wide array of stakeholders to deliver a compelling vision for learning and development that supports the Bank’s strategic priorities and cultural aspirations. As a result of your work, you will prepare our future leaders and create memorable experiences that build new skills, capabilities, and behaviors across the organization.

In this role, you will report to the Head of People Experience and execute on cutting-edge learning and development strategies that increase the capabilities of our workforce and enable the Bank to adapt to a fast-changing world. This leadership position will play a significant role in defining learning and development best practices and inspiring everyone to achieve their full potential.

Your Role:

  • Creates the end-to-end learner experience using modern best practices and technologies that enable effective skill building and behavior change

  • Executes on learning and development initiatives, eliciting feedback, and measuring their success

  • Develops strong working relationships with third party learning and development providers, using these resources to increase the scale and value of learning programs

  • Monitors and manages the Bank’s learning and development budget, ensuring investments drive value and achieve measurable objectives

  • Champions learning and development, knowledge sharing, and cross-collaboration across the Bank and the Federal Reserve System

  • Advises Senior Leadership on industry trends related to adult development, skill building, and behavior change

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience leading people by setting direction, motivating and inspiring, and mentoring teams to achieve their potential

  • A progressive learning and development leader with a strong vision and experience implementing bold and modern learning strategies

  • Demonstrated experience in workforce planning and talent management capable of connecting organizational strategy, culture, and leadership goals into learning and development practices

  • A strong understanding human behavior and experience in supporting mindset shifts and behavior changes at scale

  • Proven analytical skills to measure and monitor the effectiveness of individual growth and development

  • A trusted partner to senior leaders with demonstrated capabilities in building strong relationships and influencing workforce strategies

Salary Range: $230000 - $290000/ year
