Digital Channels Specialist

Provides support and execution across all digital properties with a focus on social channels—from posting, calendaring, and leading online events to assessing metrics and iterating to achieve optimal performance—while ensuring alignment with the Bank’s external communications strategy. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of social and web trends and digital monitoring to effectively amplify the Bank’s work.

Job Description

  • Drafts and edits social posts; assists in writing other digital content as needed.
  • Posts content across channels, and works with other team members to ensure coverage, posting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Broadens the Bank’s outreach on digital channels by encouraging strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and helps amplify messaging, and other forms of interaction.
  • Assists in developing social/digital metrics reports –pulling raw data, drafting analysis, and tracking to identified benchmarks.
  • Helps develop strong digital ecosystem by aligning key moments and campaigns, including Bankwide events and key external moments.
  • Actively monitors social accounts for news trends as they are breaking on social. Helps develop standards for monitoring and digital practices.
  • Contributes to developing digital strategy and executes strategy across the channels with understanding of reputational risk and using contextual judgement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English or a related field or equivalent experience
  • ​Typically, 5+ years of related brand, news, politics, and/or consumer marketing experience, including social media or influencer marketing
  • Expert on platforms including social media channels and messaging apps, with a strong interest in emerging digital channels and other technologies. This includes but is not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube– both as a marketer and as a user.
  • Strong news and editorial sensibility with an ability to identify and create news-making digital content.
  • Deep analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Knowledge of analytics and reporting tools for social, web, and email, such as Sprout Social (Simply Measured), Meltwater (Sysomos), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, among others.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with a finesse for social copywriting.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital design best practices and other digital media skills (e.g. photography, creating short videos, etc.) a plus.

Base Salary Range: Min: $87,100 - Mid: $113,100 - Max: $139,200 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
