We’ve got a terrific opportunity to start your career working for a mission driven organization in our Supervision + Credit Division. Depending on the team, the Associate Examiner will work on examinations or within our risk functions, financial analysis and research, quality assurance, or Credit Risk Management. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop an understanding of banking operations and financial condition through an assessment of risk management practices, analyses of financial information, and compliance with banking laws and regulations.

Here’s what you will get to do:

  • Develops knowledge and understanding of banking industry, supervision and regulation framework and processes as it relates to the team’s work.
  • Sources, organizes, and aggregates data to conduct analyses as advised by senior staff and/or team lead.
  • Engages in team projects/programs.
  • Provides general support of supervision and credit processes and documentation.
  • May participate and provide support to examination teams overseeing supervised entities, including state member banks, foreign banking organizations, bank and non-bank subsidiaries, trust departments, and service providers, as well as inspecting financial, bank and savings and loan holding companies.

This is what we would like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • Less than 3 years of relevant experience in banking, financial industry, or banking supervisor: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in introductory business office software.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as curiosity.
  • Growth mindset including the desire to continuously learning.
  • Proven passion to read and interpret financial information.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Hiring Salary Range: San Francisco: Min: $84,300 Mid: $109,300 Max: $134,400

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Location(s): San Francisco or Los Angeles
