What we do:

Responsible for the development and delivery of services and products to their respective clients. Areas of responsibility include delivering high-quality client and account services; providing securities custody, funds transfer, and other support services; receiving, processing, and distributing new and previously circulated currency; providing lending and collateral services; planning and executing open market operations; clearing and settling financial transactions; evaluating and promoting the overall safety and soundness of the supervised institutions.

Assist the Operations Director to lead and support the evening shift manager, team leaders and their direct reports in the facilitation of the processing of currency from depository institutions (DIs), central banks and other governmental counterparties. Capability in operations management, process improvement, people management, project management, and risk management and compliance.

Your role as Currency Operations Specialist:

  • Acts as a seasoned individual contributor.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of other professionals.
  • Works independently with limited supervision and may manage projects/processes.
  • Faces problems that are difficult and sometimes complex.
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Tactical (40%) – focused on the plans to achieve goals and objectives – the “how”, Transactional (60%) –
  • carries out defined steps or processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Requires higher knowledge of their job area.
  • Has practical knowledge of project and process management.
  • Well versed in Board of Governors, Treasury and System guidelines and procedures.
  • Detailed understanding of the complex currency processing equipment.
  • Experienced understanding of business line and of specialized discipline and an understanding of the overall Bank.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated or proven ability in the operation or similar field.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000 / year
