Federal Reserve Bank of AtlantaSupports the creation and advancement of data analytics, visualization, and MIS reporting including design, development, and maintenance of data and delivery solutions within Credit & Risk Management, including discount window operations, collateral management, account management activities, reserves administration, and counter-party risk monitoring. Provides analytical services for low to moderate complex business strategies in the areas of data management, analysis, and presentment.

Works closely with a variety of stakeholders and project teams to resolve information flow and content issues. Facilitates obtaining data from a variety of different sources, in the right formats, assuring that it adheres to data quality standards, as well as resolving any information flow and content issues. Consults and advises on best practices for data manipulation and visualization. Translates business requirements into a conceptual, logical, and physical data model/solution. Responsible for identifying business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs. Performs descriptive and diagnostic analytics that explores the data and relationships between involved entities and events, culminating in predictive or prescriptive analytics. Also, works closely with clients and IT teams to turn data into critical information that can be used to make sound business decisions.

*This is a hybrid position based out of Atlanta

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs low to moderate technical operations in the area of data management, analysis or dissemination.

  • Works with business teams to understand data requirements for analytics and visualization solutions.

  • Collects, analyzes and summarizes data to support business decisions.

  • Provides data and data solution that is congruent, reliable, and easily accessible by the user.

  • Uses technology to extract, analyze and visualize raw data.

  • Develops and maintains technical documentation regarding data and related policies.

  • Makes recommendations for process improvements to support data integrity efforts.

  • Works on projects/issues/enhancements as a team member.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent; Degree focus in Business Intelligence, Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.

Experience: Less than two years.

Knowledge Areas:

  • Data and General Architecture Principles

  • Data Quality Assurance and Data Modeling

  • Analytical Thought, Maturity Models and Business Processes

  • Business Intelligence Principles and Practices

  • Agile Project Management Methodologies

  • Finance / Accounting / Economics (Not required but a plus)

Technical Skills:

  • Data Visualization

  • Data Analysis

  • Data Modeling, Scripting and Programming Skills

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Proficiency with SQL, SQL Server Management Studio and/or Tableau

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Access)
