Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA or Waterloo, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid role, 3-days a week in office)
About the Role
The IT Endpoint Administrator will maintain knowledge of Apple and Windows OS, as well as mobile device technologies in use and acts as an escalation point for both the IT support and Infrastructure teams. This position is responsible for assisting the Endpoint team members in Arctic Wolf’s ongoing endpoint MDM strategy. Areas of responsibility include updating existing policies, documenting, and maintaining repeatable and reusable standard operating procedures and practices. This position will assist with development, deployment and management of the cloud MDM systems for multiple operating systems. This position requires Jamf administration, as well as having experience with Windows management applications.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and provide consultation for a wide variety of operating systems (Windows/macOS) as well as mobile devices.
Review and update existing device management policies and profiles.
Analyze and develop innovative resolutions for complex problems involving device deployment availability, and/or performance at the system level.
Coordinate plans with key stakeholders and execute activities related to platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release management.
Act as liaison and escalation point for IT support team tickets relating to endpoint configuration and troubleshooting, Support escalations from Service Desk queues.
Follow and continually improve processes for the deployment, configuration, automating, and management of AWN owned endpoints, and related technology.
Understanding mobile technology and alignment with customer requirements which includes Mobility, Cellular carriers, Wi-Fi infrastructure, government compliance, and Enterprise Directory integration.
Create and implement Configuration change requests and associated documentation.
Will assist in the organization of all asset and life cycle management of employee endpoint devices.
Help and assist the Endpoint team in managing and tracking all endpoint devices in ServiceNow.
Partner with other areas of IT such Access and Identity, Infrastructure and Service Desk to resolve open issues.
Take direction from the IT Manager and the other Endpoint team members.
Will be available for team on-call SWAT rotation for after-hours escalation and triage queues.
Will be available and willing to work in a hybrid workplace (on-site 2-3 days a week).
Ability to travel within US and Internationally.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Working knowledge of both JAMF Pro and or other MDM production environments with 1000+ endpoints
Profile/Policy creation, scoping and deployment
End Point/Mobile App acquisition and deployment
Application repackaging, configuration, and deployment on desktop OS platforms.
Understanding of OOB device deployment frameworks and workflows for Apple and Microsoft Autopilot
Prior experience with volume app purchasing programs for Windows, macOS/iOS; especially with multi-site entities
Basic shell scripting (BASH, PowerShell, AppleScript)
Ability to effectively use verbal and written communication to explain MDM system capabilities, limitations, platform differences and trade-offs to a non-technical audience
Resourceful natures to find, create, or re-engineer solutions that meet customer needs while also adhering to best-practice norms and standards
Understanding of proper triage and performing root cause analysis
Minimum Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in previous IT positions
2-3 years of experience with MDM systems
Jamf 200 Certification
Advanced knowledge and experience with two or more MDM platforms (Intune / JAMF / AirWatch / WorkSpace One, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with Okta, macOS and Windows OS (10+)
Knowledge and experience with the latest versions and all aspects of the operating system, settings, and configurations on MacOS, iOS, Android OS, and Apple Configurator
Knowledge and experience with the latest versions and all aspects of the operating system, settings, and configurations on Windows 10+ on laptop
Knowledge and experience with the latest versions and all aspects of the operating system, settings, and configurations on Android phones and tablets
Prior experience deploying a macOS zero touch deployment strategy
Familiarity with Microsoft 365
Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills
Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a team environment with a can-do attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and with teams spread across multiple locations across multiple time zones
Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with the ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers to translate complicated concepts to non-technical audiences as needed
Strong security first mindset is a must for this role
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or 2+ years of experience in macOS, Windows and Mobile Device Management
