About the Role

The Tech Lead is an exemplary Principle Concierge Security Engineer, a recognized expert in multiple technical domains and at delivering Arctic Wolf security services in their assigned customer segment. The Tech Lead works closely and collaboratively with their paired Section Lead to fulfill these key responsibilities, as needed by their Section:

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Section through technical leadership or support in multiple areas, such as:
    • Specialized customer interactions, including escalations, proof of concept (PoC) projects, and incident response;
    • Incident response and coordination of Triage of Security Incidents;
    • Concierge and technical subject matter expertise for daily operations;
    • Emergency situations, such as spikes in Section workload;
    • Creating new Security Consultancy content
    • Alignment of our consultancy contents with local security standards and regulations in EMEA
  • Assist the Concierge department in multiple areas, such as:
    • Identifying and solutioning continual improvements in tooling, processes, etc.;
    • Providing Concierge or technical subject matter expertise in cross-Section or cross-functional discussions/initiatives;
  • Assist the Section Lead in multiple areas, such as:
    • Assessment, train and onboarding of new staff;
    • Skills assessment, mentorship and training of Section staff;
    • Implementing defined change through the Section and our consultancy content library – be an security evangelist

Skills & Requirements

You thrive in fast-paced environments with continually evolving priorities and have a positive can-do attitude. You are a critical thinker that continually learns, can navigate uncertainty, and provide technical direction to others on the fly.

You love to provide technical mentorship to others and to work with challenging customers. You are an excellent communicator and are able easily interact with a variety of people, personalities and technical skill levels. Above all, your passion for cybersecurity and partnering with customers shows in everything you do!

You possess these required skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Security Consultant
  • 7+ years of experience in a hands-on security role
  • Stellar customer-partnering and -relationship building skills in a professional context
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in German and English
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritsation skills
  • Demonstrated subject matter and hands-on expertise in multiple of the following areas or technologies:
    • Security tools and processes;
    • Security architectures;
    • Defense-in-depth security model, including perimeter and operating system hardening, and vulnerability management;
    • Enterprise IT security solutions, such as: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Antivirus, Content Filtering, SIEM tools, and Proxies;
    • Enterprise IT operations, such as: Networking, Active Directory, LDAP, server administration, and cloud infrastructure;
    • Risk management, assessment and common compliance frameworks;
  • Recognized proficiency in multiple of these additional areas or technologies:
    • Secure DevOps for working in the cloud
    • Scripting tools and languages, such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
    • Security testing and forensics tools
    • Malware analysis
    • Incident response
    • Authentication and identity management
