ABOUT THE ROLE

While leading a world-class IAM Team, The Director, Identity and Access Management will assist with the development, implementation, and daily support of Identity Access Management IAM practices, programs, adherence to compliance procedures. With a superior security-first approach, the Director, IAM will be an active participant in initiatives designed to ensure team members (internal or external) identities are secured through cloud integrated identity management systems and procedures with the organization’s suite of applications and technologies. When required, the Director, IAM will also provide hands on production support and troubleshooting as part of the organization’s incident management process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the planning, architecture, and maintenance of the Arctic Wolf identity space.

  • Ability to be the Identity Provider (Okta) SME and escalation point.

  • Establishes and maintains a current state representation of their domain and their responsible area.

  • Oversee the research, design and advocate for new technologies, architectures, and products that will enable the business to operate effectively and efficiently with a core emphasis on automation.

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and progress tracking with IT specialists, project teams, business, and IT leaders.

  • Oversees and is familiar with industry standards, architectural and structural options, features, and functionality; and creating use cases, models, design structures/patterns; and conducting planning meetings.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the various IT disciplines such as Infrastructure, Applications, Business Applications.

  • Work closely with enterprise architects, subject matter experts, and IT personnel to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, while meeting business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure internal compliance standards are continuously met.

  • Responsible for ensuring solutions align to the organizations ability to build and maintain.

  • Manage and support internal compliance processes and team members.

  • Provide high level technical leadership to drive a cloud first environment toward efficient automation processes.

  • Responsible for leading the automation advancements of the employee on/off-boarding process and leading efficiency improvements.

  • Responsible for communicating standards, and for educating project and operations teams on their scope, intent, and progress.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 15 years prior Identity & Access Management experience

  • 5+ years of personnel management experience

  • Expert knowledge of Okta, SSO, lifecycle management, MFA, and Identity Governance.

  • Experience with IT governance and compliance controls and procedures, specific to frameworks such as SOX and ISO.

  • Continuously seeking to understand and enhance operations using data driven methods, while utilizing automation where possible to achieve conditions of success.

  • Track record of success in planning and implementing large projects. Strong problem management skills.

  • Strong communicator, with effective presentation skills for technical and non-technical groups at all levels within the organization.
