Position Summary
The Analytics Supervisor is responsible for department financial management and advanced analytics for Vegetation Management Department. They are the advocate for data-driven decision making using statistical and predictive models and data visualization solutions to meet strategic and tactical goals. They provide technical leadership and collaborate cross-organizationally to ensure solutions align with business unit and corporate strategy. The Analytics Supervisor leverages their business and industry expertise and coordinate across different functions and roles to facilitate reporting and analytic solutions that drive organizational success. This includes working with other departments to extract, transform and load different types of data for use in effectiveness analyses. They are a key contact for business, customer and stakeholder groups, and ensure data requests are transformed into meaningful information for easy consumption, ensuring value and risk are well represented. They serve as a coach and escalation point for their team and provide work direction to achieve strategic initiatives, to meet customer and operational needs, and to implement solutions that meet business goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Operations Management: Maintain and enforce support of data analytics and data exploration procedures. Work with contractor management and internal stakeholders to ensure contractor invoicing and data deliverables are timely, compliant and aligned in SAP and other systems. Facilitate deployment of statistical and predictive models and data visualization solutions. Report performance outcomes and risks, with recommended actions. Manage and communicate budget and forecast data within corporate guidelines, as well as working with contractors on accurate monthly accruals.
Leadership: Lead and manage the priorities, performance and development of staff. Provide leadership as needed across multiple sites. Collaborate with stakeholders and lead efforts to identify and deploy continuous process improvement. Serve as an escalation point for problem resolution.
Strategy: Work cross-organizationally to drive adoption of standard tools and improved data integrity. Partner with Customer Care, Business Systems and other areas on strategic planning to ensure data solutions are aligned with department and company standards.
Subject Matter Expert: Provide expert working knowledge of data and reporting domain to team. Stays abreast of industry and technology trends. Directs team to collect, extract, transform, quality validate, continuously improve and automate data and reporting processes.
Minimum Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Technology, Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
-Four years of prior people leadership experience.
-Seven years of related functional experience.
-Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
-Excellent Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
-Demonstrated experience effectively managing system or equipment change deployment.
-Strong time management skills, technical aptitude and analytical abilities.
Preferred:
-Lean or Six Sigma certification.
