POSITION OVERVIEW

Indirect Sourcing is looking for the next great Buyer to join our team!

The exciting space of Non-Media Marketing includes Package Design, Creative, Production, Coupons, Promotions, Licensing and more!

The Buyer, Non-Media Marketing will support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies that create deep supplier and business relationships. This role will provide daily support to subcategories within Non-Media Marketing. In this position, you will interact with cross functional teams to execute Source-to-Pay processes and key category management activities. This position reports to the Sourcing Manager, Non-Media Marketing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partner closely with business partners and the Non-Media Marketing Sourcing team to understand business needs and priorities
  • Implement Source to Pay process for all assigned areas in order to drive competitive advantage for GMI
  • Build expertise in Sourcing strategies, Source to Pay processes, tools and capabilities in support of Non-Media Marketing
  • Deliver Total Value goals with business partners across assigned categories
  • Commercialize partnerships with agreements that leverage GMI’s scale and external partner capabilities
  • Proactively enhance external relationships with existing partners to create new opportunities for GMI
  • Ensure GMI’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies are foremost in all supplier interactions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of Sourcing or Marketing related experience
  • Possess a learning mindset
  • Experience with contract management, risk management, market analysis, project management, financial analysis
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and during times of significant change

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong prioritization and task-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Previous experience executing indirect material category strategies, development of external partner capabilities, negotiations, or leading Total Value initiatives
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $67300.00 - $101200.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifictions, etc. As such, pay for the succesful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
