for preventative and reactive maintenance of processing and packaging equipment and providing technical support to improve and optimize within the manufacturing operations and processes.

Maintenance Technician

What your compensation will look like:

  • Up to $32.95 per hour
  • $23.40 per hour to $32.95 per hour depending on skillset and experience
  • Shift differential
    • Additional $.55 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift
    • Additional $.55 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift

    • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment
    • Using machinery/equipment specifically related to the position including saws/drills, welders, lathes, bending/cutting machines, basic mechanical tools, ultrasonic/vibration analysis equipment, piping, rigging, lifting, and sheet metal
    • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems of all plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
    • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, motors and AC/DC motor drivers and circuit boards
    • Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
    • Assist in training new employees

What your schedule will look like:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • 1st shift: 7 am to 3pm
  • 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
  • 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
  • Training occurs on 1st shift and then shift rotation after completion of training
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • 3 years (minimum) of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education in a related field
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Proven ability to use multimeter and other electrical equipment/components
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
