The Audiovisual and Video Conferencing (AV/VC) Assistant Manager/Manager has oversight of the A/V productions and design/integration of AV and VC-equipped collaboration spaces in the Tenth Federal Reserve District. This leader is responsible for directing our day-to-day A/V event activities including coordination of System, District-wide and public-facing events, along with managing the team responsible for AV/VC technological currency, design, integration, and maintenance of collaboration spaces. They oversee and provide leadership to a team of dedicated AV/VC professionals, who possess a range of experience that allows them to serve as central points of contact and support for producing events. This leader will regularly interact and collaborate with key stakeholders across the District, including Public Affairs, Facilities, Conference Center coordinators, external vendors, and System colleagues in support of large System-wide coordinated meetings and A/V collaboration projects. The position is within the Information Technology Client Services (ITCS) Division and is located in the Kansas City office.
Key Activities
Collaborates with business partners, National IT, and senior management to create and implement AV/VC vision and strategy. Delivers real-time roadmaps and updates that seek to inform and introduce new technologies across the District.
Drives premier A/V production and support services focused on delivering seamless event experiences across the Tenth District.
Delivers innovative and cost-effective A/V solutions that enhance in-person, virtual, and hybrid collaboration experiences.
Demonstrates composure, executive presence, and confidence while working in high stress/high expectation environments/situations.
Effectively collaborates with department, division, District, and National IT colleagues to ensure partner and customer alignment with event production and technology design and integration, while providing project management oversight and direction.
Identifies and understands a variety of broad, complex AV/IT issues and determines their impact. Focused on resolving problems decisively and taking timely and appropriate action.
Reviews a variety of written project, budget, and technical documentation for accuracy, consistency, quality, and clarity.
Consistently demonstrates leadership competencies across the business. Builds leadership competency in direct team and others in the business. Develops relationships and trust across the business, stakeholders, and customers through effective leadership. Supports people strategy and practices.
Accountable for day-to-day oversight of department responsibilities, prioritization of work, and attainment of strategic objectives and operational goals including productivity, quality, and efficiency measures.
Encourages creativity and inclusion, supporting innovative approaches to work processes while considering the Bank’s existing culture and risk tolerance. Provides strategic input to execute department results. Leads across teams to implement creative solutions that advance the goals of the department.
Oversees the establishment and execution of department goals and objectives to maintain high-performing department functions that support achievement of the Reserve Bank’s strategic plan.
Qualifications:
Typically requires at least 3 years in a formal leadership role or relevant informal leadership experiences.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or work experience.
Applicants with AV certifications like Avixa CTS is preferred.
2 or more years experience in live and high-profile event production is preferred
2 or more years experience in A/V design, procurement, integration, and maintenance is preferred required.

Hybrid, KC office 50% of the time.
Pay Range: The starting pay range for this position is $89,300 to $139,000 for the job level(s) required for this position. Final offers are determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.
