Manages and coordinates key aspects of the organization-wide business continuity program, under limited supervision. Leads the team of Analysts and Sr. Analysts. Develops and maintains crisis management procedures,
business continuity scenarios, and contingency plans for key business functions.
Coordinates updates to documentation supporting the business continuity function and works closely with business units and various levels of
management to ensure high availability of effective and accurate information. Responsible for maintaining and testing offsite contingency equipment and facilities in conjunction with District IT staff and business areas, and a central
repository of business continuity information. Supports management by tracking program performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the overall efforts and processes of the organization-wide business continuity program in the District.
Investigates, proposes solutions, and manages processes for implementation of the BCP in the District, manages delivery of projects, facilitates workgroups, etc.
Manages design, development, maintenance, and testing of business continuity plans for critical functional areas of the organization.
Supports ongoing discussions of current and emerging contingency topics. In collaboration with business areas’ management and business continuity Liaisons, identifies, monitors, plans for and drafts reports on business continuity-related risks that could impact the Bank.
Coordinates compiling, analyzing, and reporting yearly compliance review results to Senior Management.
Manages maintenance and administration of software used to support business continuity activities. Ensures maintenance of a central repository of business continuity information, including risk assessments, business area recovery plans, emergency response procedures, and contact information.
Manages development of processes and procedures to ensure information is accurate and accessible. Coordinates, facilitates, and develops crisis management exercises and continuity awareness initiatives throughout the District.
Provides recommendations to Senior Management during simulation exercises, testing and real crisis events.
Provides consultation as needed with business areas, Product Offices, and other System entities on business continuity planning-related issues.
Has a good understanding of major businesses and functions of the Federal Reserve, including bank supervision, research, financial services, and corporate support functions, and their high-level processes within the District and across the System.
Keeps current on System, District, and industry business continuity activities and trends. Develops subordinates and establishes objectives, monitors staff performance, and ensures adequate training.
Evaluates, counsels, and provides guidance to staff on job performance and development.
Participates in high-level District and System work groups and special projects.
Develops and makes high-level internal and external presentations, and/or provides training related to business continuity planning management.
Maintains and coordinates contacts with outside contingency planning professional organizations and local/regional emergency groups.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred
Experience: Five or more years preferred

Certifications/Licenses:
Business Continuity Certification preferred
