POLICE SERVICES GROUP OVERVIEW

Police Services’ mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for its employees and tenants, while safeguarding the Federal Reserve Bank facilities, operations, and assets. Our Operations team is our visible component and primarily handles the physical security side of our mission. The Police Services Support Office (PSSO) has responsibilities for group financial and budget processes, staff communications, technology and automation, business continuity, training, compliance, and other administrative roles and programs.



POSITION/PROJECT OVERVIEW

As an intern with the PSSO, the position will include a primary project that may focus on communications, technology or applications, financial or business analysis, or a unique project within Police Services. The project may be focused on research, problem solving, and/or implementation. Assistance with other projects in these areas may be included based on business needs. Projects will likely be led by the PSSO and may incorporate or require frequent collaboration with our Operations colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The typical day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Word processing and drafting, potential use of spreadsheets, creating presentations, or use of other Microsoft Office applications (including daily use of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)

  • Detailed oriented processes with some data entry

  • Regular meetings and discussions with leaders, project stakeholders, and will likely include occasional presentations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency; Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in a 2 or 4-year degree program; Ability to work 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the approximately 10-week internship program.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Required proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar applications.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and must be able to work cohesively with all levels of the organization. The ability to create clear and concise written documentation.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

  • An ability to learn new concepts and technical functions quickly. Be resourceful and collaborative.

  • The applicant must be flexible in accepting and independently delivering a variety of assignments in a high-quality manner.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

Hourly Range: Min: $22.00 - Mid: $24.00 - Max: $28.00 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
