As the Senior Product Manager, you will work and collaborate closely with various teams (architecture, marketing, product delivery and other internal teams) to define and own the end-to-end roadmap for these public websites and applications - including mobile and desktop experience, site navigation and search, and content rendering. In this role, you will create the business case, develop the product roadmap, high-level requirements and write epics and features to deliver value to customers. You will do this by researching customer needs, sponsor relevant market research and gather intelligence to understand and prioritize the customer’s needs, wants and pain points. The level of work required is considered advanced, and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position does not have direct reports.
If the candidate is not a current Federal Reserve Bank System employee, this position will be based out of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the employee will be required to fulfill the on-site hybrid requirement.
Key Activities:
Defines the strategic digital experience vision and the web strategy of public facing websites and applications in alignment with the needs of respective stakeholders
Identifies opportunities for website redesign, enhancements and optimal user experience based on industry trends and customer feedback and builds a customer centric roadmap
Sponsors market research and leverages secondary research to better understand customer needs and industry trends
Collaborates with other product managers across various teams to set product priorities and maintains the product roadmap, acts as the point of intake for product improvements and requirements from internal stakeholders
Writes and owns epics and features for development teams and operates in scaled agile (SAFe) methodology
Requirements:
Bachelor`s degree in computer science/business administration
7 or more years of relevant work experience in product management/building products
Relevant Financial Services or e-commerce experience
General knowledge of Product Management principles and practices obtained through education, experience, or certification
Considerable working knowledge of MarTech product stack, website strategy, design, standards, and best practices. Experience in enhancing web-based/mobile user experience
Understanding of web technologies such as browsers, HTML, JavaScript, mobile applications, security protocols and a variety of file formats is a plus
Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and content management solutions- understanding of Bloomreach is a bonus
Experience with Google Analytics and/or other web analytics tools and metrics
Experience in software development practices and agile methodology – JIRA is preferred
Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
Excellent writing, project management, communication, and consultative skills
