This is a perfect position for an action-oriented manager who excels at leading, coaching, and assessing and resolving complex business problems and solutions with minimal supervision. This manager will report to a Vice President in Research and work with agile teams that include application developers, subject matter experts, and leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead and Coach Project Management Staff

Manage the Research project management staff, including the formal performance management process in addition to coordinating staff assignments, leading individual and group staff meetings, and providing ad hoc counseling on performance and policy issues and questions.

Coach agile scrum masters, business analysts, project managers, and program managers; drive continuous improvement to create higher performing programs/projects/teams. Serve as the subject matter expert for implementation and adjustment of all aspects of agile work management - daily routines, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, limiting work in progress, team building, etc.

Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships supporting agile product development to facilitate strong project management support. Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and influence change at all organizational levels. Promote and contribute to internal communications, improving transparency, and radiating information.

Maintain knowledge of project and agile methodologies and tools, as well as familiarity with current and new technologies while staying abreast of Reserve Bank and System technology direction. Perform project quality reviews and propose process or team enhancements.

Website Analytics

Lead strategic analytics efforts for Division economic research and information services business lines; Identify and implement rigorous assessments of user behavior (on Research websites and e-marketing platforms) to inform future content strategies.

Project and Team Support

Support Division projects and agile teams as necessary.

Oversee, coordinate, and track project or team activities to include creating project management artifacts and creating and documenting business and systems requirements. Ensure alignment of high-level requirements, assessments, and analysis.

Apply agile frameworks and best practices like Scrum to facilitate team interactions and to manage projects/assignments for a software engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience (required).
  • 7+ years’ relevant management experience and recent experience as a project manager or agile team leader (required).
  • PMI PMP, Scrum, and Agile certifications (preferred).
  • Leadership experience in an IT environment, including experience being accountable for and delivering results through others, facilitating alignment with the organization's strategic direction, and facilitating outcomes.
  • Advanced ability to build and maintain relationships through clear and transparent communication channels and effective, confident collaboration with diverse teams and leaders at all levels and across organizations, in a combined virtual and in-person environment.
  • Perform as a flexible, dependable self-starter capable of gathering information quickly and applying it to teams and projects.

Salary: $115,000 - $128,000
