Job Summary
Provides strong analytical support and project coordination for the Expense Accounting functions within the Financial Management and Planning (FMP) department. Provides guidance/consultation to all levels of management on complex situations. Researches and responds to ad hoc requests for information from senior management, Board of Governors, other Reserve Banks and System entities. Communicates findings and interacts with District staff, through various forums. Provides functional advice, guidance, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting complex financial management and planning assignments and projects. Lead and facilitate expense accounting, vendor transactions, compliance oversight and reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner. Perform financial transaction compliance based on Bank and Board policies. Anticipates, interprets, and evaluates the effect of daily financial management on organizational needs. Conducts complex expense accounting, discretionary maintenance and travel spend tasks.
Prepares data trends, interprets results, compiles reports, and communicates findings to department leadership. Maintains documentation and monitors transactions in order to ensure compliance with cost accounting guidelines.
Maintains relationships with internal and external clients. Participates in complex financial analysis and projects, which can include district and System level work groups. This includes providing guidance to projects managers on policy requirements. Leads projects as assigned.
Provides guidance and support to junior staff members through training, problem identification and resolution to achieve the Team's objectives. Conducts analysis of data/reports of more complex operations to assure accuracy and identify issues. Makes recommendations to change current process in order to improve operational and or organizational efficiency.
Primary support for financial management and planning applications. Serves as a user liaison and or coordinator when testing and implementing new applications or maintenance releases. Reviews, analyzes and ensures proper functioning and accountability of financial records and system(s).
Conducts training on District procedures, guidelines, policies, and accounting software. Develops and conducts presentations and training and updates related materials on websites and SharePoint site. Assists with maintaining and updating related Bank policies.
Assists in the preparation of state and federal IRS tax forms for vendor and independent contractors, as well as travel for Bank staff. Monitors transactions for compliance with Audits or other internal and external reviews and recommend quality improvements.

Expense/Cost Accounting
Strong analytical skills/Data Analytics · Department Knowledge (processes, procedures, operations, etc.)
Customer Service Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite Certifications/Licenses
Power Bi
Accounting certification or similar knowledge
Experience: Five to eight years of experience in accounting or related field preferred
Education: Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent experience
