THE INTERNSHIP:

We are looking for a Security GRC Intern to join our team. You will support the maintenance and evolution of our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program. If you're curious about cybersecurity, love working with teams across the organization, and want to learn more about policy and audit, or just want to learn more about what goes into creating a cybersecurity program, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

You'll have the chance to work with our experienced cybersecurity team and learn all about how to keep our organization safe from cyber threats. Our goal is to give you a holistic understanding of a security program and how compliance and risk influence how it operates.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Identify and evaluate cybersecurity risks
  • Evaluate and write effective security controls
  • Review and interpret regulations, industry standards, and requirements
  • Develop processes for successful security assessments and audits
  • Learn to bridge the gap between security and business

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Familiar with basic cybersecurity concepts and frameworks (like NIST, ISO, and SOC2)
  • You're good at solving problems and love to learn new things
  • You can communicate well (and don't mind if we throw in some bad puns)
  • You work well on your own or with a team
  • Excitement around organization, documentation, and research
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of coursework completed
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) from May 28th - August 16th (expected dates)
  • Ability to work hybrid (in office 2 days a week)
