• 1.0 FTE position supporting Hip/Knee Total Joint Replacement provider operating at United Hospital
• Clinic 3 day/wk; OR 2 days/wk
• Surgical case load: 4-5 patients/day
• Clinic days: 10-14 patients/day
• Weekend rotation/shared elective practice call among APP team members

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.

• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.

• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.

• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.

• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required and

• 0 to 2 years' experience post Physician Assistant training preferred

• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire

• BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 180 Days

• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required

• Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required
