Key Position Details:

The Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neuro Oncology team.

• 60% Outpatient/40% inpatient coverage

• Outpatient clinic is at Givens Brain Tumor Center at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis

• Inpatient coverage at Abbott Northwestern Hospital

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard clinic hours

• Join a team of 2 Neuro Oncologists and one other Advanced Practice Provider

• Average of 5 to 8 patients seen per day

• Call rotation is 1 in 4 - primarily pager and phone calls from home

• No scheduled weekends

• We have a robust research program and the ability to participate in research studies and clinical trials for your brain tumor patients

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.

• Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.

• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.

• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

• May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required

• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (for NP)

• Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) required upon hire (for NP)

• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire (for PA)

• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required upon hire (for PA)

• Experience working in Neurology or Oncology strongly preferred

• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days

• Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required
