Nutrition Services prepares food for patients, staff, and special functions. The department is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production

Job Description:

• Ability to fill open shifts as needed
• Strong verbal, communication, reading and writing abilities required
• With training, able to operate food service equipment related to the job
• Must be able to work cooperatively with all hospital employees
• Must communicate in a positive manner
• Must be able to interact with patients
• Complete simple mathematical computations
• Positive phone etiquette is a must
• Ability to read, write and speak English in order to process diet information
• Ability to follow written and oral directions
• Must be able to cross-train into other positions as needed.
• Ability to exercise good judgment as in preparation of food, sanitation and safety standards
• Good communication & customer service skills
• Using knowledge & skill to maintain precision and appropriate care for patients of varying abilities
• Ability to flex with rise of census.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals,

slippery and wet conditions
